body, it is important to increase your intake of water. You may want to add in some fresh lemon juice to your water
as this will be more effective in getting rid of the toxins in your body. At the start of your Psoriasis diet, you
may also want to try going on a juice fast. It is best to drink the juice of carrots, grapes, cucumbers and
beets. Do this for about 2 weeks. It is also important to take plenty of fiber. Fiber helps the body to
not only to eliminate toxins but to prevent it from being reabsorbed into the system as well.
Fresh Fruit and Vegetables Helps Psoriasis You should also
incorporate more fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet. It is best to eat it raw though as cooked, frozen
or canned fruits and vegetables may have already lost most of its nutrients. Great fruits and
vegetables for Psoriasis include pears, apples, grapes, pineapples and peaches. It is also advisable to eat raw seeds such as
sesame, sunflower and pumpkin. Once the person has noticed improvements from his or her Psoriasis symptoms,
goat milk, yogurt and homemade cottage cheese may be slowly added to the diet. Other dairy products that
should still be avoided though are milk, butter and eggs.
Red wine, red meat, soda, MSG, junk food and spicy, oily and acidic food should also be
limited as these can trigger Psoriasis.
Diet is a very important factor when treating Psoriasis. Making sure that you are eating the right
food will help reduce the severity and frequency of symptoms related to Psoriasis. Psoriasis and diet are
linked so keep in mind that whatever you eat can improve or worsen your condition.
