     Home Remedies For Weight Loss

Weight loss, people obsess about it, and shell out untold millions in weight loss products every year that range from training videos to doctor bills to get your stomach stapled.

Although a mild and or temporary gain in weight is natural and is nothing to get concerned about, progressive and constant weight gain is more than a health risk, it decreases longevity. The National Health Institute reported that 25% of the U.S. population is overweight. And that obesity elevates a host of illnesses which range from sleep apnea to cancer and stroke. Here are some home remedies for weight loss.

Increase Your Metabolism with Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar is a home remedy for a host of problems. What many don't know is that it also raised metabolism slightly and so is an effective home remedy for weight loss too. Just mix 2 to 3 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar into 12 to 16 ounces of water (preferably filtered water) and sip it throughout the day.

Green Tea
Besides being effective in combating cancer, green tea can also help you lose weight. No wonder the Japanese are so thin! It actually increases your resting metabolic rate called your BMR. This is the rate at which you burn calories during sleep/ inactivity. And in addition it also helps reduce the bodies ability to store fat. It's all because of a flavonoid called a catechin which green tea is full of.

Evening primrose oil is another supplement that you can purchase almost anywhere in capsule form. It also helps raise metabolism and so is effective for helping you control your weight.

Other Home Remedies For Weight Loss
Working out or building muscle mass also helps. Why? Because the more muscle you have the more fat you need to burn to maintain the muscle mass. So it can become a self-perpetuating cycle of weight loss.

Negative Calorie Foods                                                                              Eat negative calories foods. Grapefruit and cabbage are foods that require more calories to break them down than they have in them thus they are termed negative calorie foods. Replacing some foods in your meals with these foods, will help you shed some pounds.

Time Your Eating, Exercise and Common Sense
Eating large quantities right before bed is also a big no-no. After all, if you eat 1,500 calories and then sleep 8 hours, where do you think the bulk of those calories are going to go? Also gentle exercise like an evening walk versus flopping down on the couch after a meal will make a world of difference taking off weight.

Lastly eliminating empty calorie foods is important too. If the body doesn't have proper nutrition i t will still be in "eat mode" long after it has had enough actual calories to maintain body function . Eating junk food causes you to eat more calories simply because you didn't get enough nutritious foods.
