Cayenne is a spice which has long been popular for its antihypertensive properties and as a one of the mild high blood pressure remedies. It works by preventing the
clumping together of platelets and therefore allowing a smoother blood flow. You can take Cayenne just about
any way you want to – use it in cooking your meals or by dashing it on your salads or soups to add more
flavor.
Natural Ways of Reducing Blood Pressure - Indian
Gooseberry Indian gooseberry (or amalaki) is another good natural remedy for high blood
pressure. It is effective in keeping the blood pressure at normal levels because of its high vitamin C
content. Indian gooseberry reduces the accumulation of cholesterol in arteries which in turn is one of the
reasons for having high blood pressure. Indian gooseberry can be eaten as it is. It can also be taken by
mixing Indian gooseberry juice and honey and having one tablespoon of this mixture once every day.
Curry and Watermelon Great High Blood Pressure Remedies
Curry leaves are another good remedy for hypertension. Not only is it effective in lowering and
normalizing blood pressure, it also is seen as a great treatment to diabetes, nausea, constipation and diarrhea.
Curry leaves can be taken as tea. Make tea by adding 35-40 curry leaves to a glass of hot water. Leave it for at
least 2 hours before straining to remove the leaves. Add honey and lemon to taste. It is advisable to drink it on
an empty stomach. Have one glass of curry tea leaves each day.
Watermelon is a great natural remedy for high blood pressure as well. An ingredient
which is found in watermelon seeds is known to dilate the blood vessels which in turn lower blood pressure. Take the seeds of the watermelon and dry and roast it. This can
be taken in huge amounts throughout the day. The seeds can also be crushed and wait for it to become powdery.
Add 1-2 tablespoons in a glass of water.
Drink one glass each day. Here is one of the most simple high blood pressure remedies. Take 2 teaspoons of onion
juice and half a teaspoon of honey every day. Continue doing this for 1-2 weeks to see the results.
Both onions and honey have antihypertensive properties which makes it ideal for
people with high blood pressure. Lemon is another good natural high blood pressure remedy. Lemon juice and its zest
is rich in vitamin P which in turn helps prevent the capillaries from becoming fragile. Lemon can be taken in juice
form or better yet, try to incorporate lemon in the dishes you prepare.
