Candida Diet
The Candida diet aims at controlling a fungal infection called Candidiasis. Symptoms have wide ranges from mild
symptoms like vaginitis, skin irritations and infection of the mucous membranes.
The Candida yeast is exists naturally in the body but when proliferates excessively creates medical issues like
the ones described above. Excessive consumption of sugar and excessively refined foods leads to a proliferation of
this yeast. Generally this diet should be followed for at least 4 weeks as you slowly detoxify.
Candida Diet and What You Can't Eat: Refined sugars in all forms. Yes that includes
chocolate. Also sugar found in fruit and keep milk sugar to an absolute minimum. This also includes fruit juices
and alcohol and honey. Oh and let's not forget dried fruits too. Foods that contain excessive yeast like: beer,
cheddar cheese or other bar cheeses and mushrooms also should be avoided.
Simple carbohydrates should also be avoided. This includes breads, pasta, oat meal, white rice breakfast cereals
and stuff made with white flour.
Candida Diet And Foods You Can Eat: Think meat and fish here. So this includes fish, chicken,
red meat etc. Most vegetables like romaine lettuce, carrots,
broccoli, onions, rye breads, low-fat cottage cheese and
Ricotta cheese, herbal teas. Most nuts like pecans, walnuts,
cashews, hazel nuts.
Limit These Foods to Once or Twice a Week: Tomato paste, tomato sauce and spaghetti sauce,
salmon and tuna. Also watch consumption of ketchup and other condiments as they have more sugar in them and meets
the eye.
Some Extra Help: Some times people who follow this diet still have trouble with getting their
symptoms in check. If this is the case there are some pretty decent all natural herbal supplements that help in
keeping Candida yeast levels in check.
