                           Herbs For Pain

 

There are a variety of herbs for pain that work pretty well. Pain an inevitable part of life. We all seek to avoid it and minimize it. The pharmaceutical industry makes an absolute killing on over prescribing for it. All the while ignoring the much safer and economical natural herbal remedies for pain.

Although ignored by the press and established medicine many have  minimized pain for years in all corners of the globe with herbs.

A common herbs for controlling pain is Echinecea. It's known to be a highly effective immune booster.

 Kava is also widely used. Because kava has analgesic properties. It's effective in relaxing muscles and reducing intensity of pain. This is one reason why it is widely used by  arthritis and fibromyalgia.

Jamaican Dogwood is also used to relieve pain. for afflictions from toothaches to menstrual cramps.
Magnesium, an essential mineral also is effective in controlling pain. It can be taken in tablet form. But better than this is to eat magnesium rich foods. It's easier for the body to absorb natural forms of magnesium than synthetic forms. Magnesium helps reduce intensity and duration of pain.

And believe it or not caffeine is also effective in reducing pain.  It  blocks pain receptors in the brain and so reduces sensitivity to pain to some degree.

Turmeric has also been widely used to control pain. It has anti-inflammatory properties and has a long history of treating pain in both Chinese and Indian medical systems.
