                     Herbal Remedies for ADHD

ADHD  is also known as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. And surprisingly enough this ailment is more common than you think. In fact 6% of children have it while only 2% actually receive treatment or worse yet think nothing can be done about. A lot can be done about it and there's a whole lot more to it than simply saying "Johnny is hyper." Or "My kid can't concentrate."

The Chief Culprit
Research, actually a ton of it, has shown that a brain chemical, norepinephrine, is the chief culprit in ADHD. This chemical shuttles information around various areas of the brain. Not all areas of the brain are active at the same time.

Usually there is alternation in areas when some are "turned on" other areas are "turned off". This is normally how the brain functions. In those suffering with ADHD there is a basic coordination problem in the reticular activating area of the brain with the result that many areas are stuck on.
